BIOGRAPHY

Beatrice Venezi studied piano, composition, and conducting, graduating with honors from the Milan Conservatory of Music “Giuseppe Verdi.” She has collaborated with internationally renowned performers such as Plácido Domingo, Vittorio Grigolo, Marcelo Álvarez, Maria José Siri, Kristine Opolais, Aida Garifullina, Bruno Canino, Stefan Milenkovich, Valentina Lisitsa, Andrea Griminelli, Eleonora Abbagnato, Carla Fracci, and Andrea Bocelli.

She has also worked with prestigious musical institutions, including the Orchestra del Teatro La Fenice, Orchestra del Maggio Musicale Fiorentino, New Japan Philharmonic, Sofia Philharmonic, Nagoya Philharmonic, National Opera House of Georgia, Opera Holland Park (London), Teatro Coliseo (Buenos Aires), Teatro Olimpico (Vicenza), Teatro Lirico (Cagliari), Teatro Bellini (Catania), Orchestra Haydn, Orchestre Philharmonique de Nice, Opéra-Théatre de Metz-Métropole, Symphony Orchestra of the National Television and Radio of Belarus, State Orchestra of Armenia, National Opera House of Azerbaijan, National Theatre Ivan Zajc (Rijeka), Sofia National Opera and Ballet, Teatro del Libertador (Córdoba), Orchestra I Pomeriggi Musicali (Milan), and Circuito Lirico Marchigiano. She has conducted more than 160 symphonic concerts and 50 opera performances.

She is currently an advisor to the Italian Minister of Culture on music. Beatrice has held the position of Principal Guest Conductor of the “Orquesta della Toscana,” Principal Conductor of the “Milano Classica” Orchestra, and Principal Guest Conductor of the “Puccini Festival” in Torre del Lago. Recently, she was appointed Resident Guest Conductor of the Permanent Orchestra of the Teatro Colón in Buenos Aires.

From 2019 to 2022, she was also a member of the Women’s Advisory Group of the Pontifical Council for Culture. During her early career, she received several awards for her artistic abilities and her commitment to the dissemination of classical music culture among younger generations, including the Scala d’Oro Award, the Pegaso della Toscana Award, the Kinéo Award, and the Gentile da Fabriano Award.

Corriere della Sera included her among the “50 Women of the Year 2017,” and in 2018, Forbes recognized her as one of the “100 Young Leaders of the Future Under 30.”

In addition to her professional activities, Beatrice carries out an intense educational outreach, collaborating with renowned institutions such as the Universität Wien, Bocconi University of Milan, Polytechnic of Milan, IULM, Polimoda of Florence, Catholic University of the Sacred Heart of Rome, Federico II University of Naples, Catholic University of Milan (for which she celebrated the inaugural concert of the Academic Year in 2021, marking its centenary), and the University of Sassari (where she gave the opening lecture for the Academic Year 2018-2019).

She has published several works, including Allegro con Fuoco, Sorelle di Mozart (translated into French as Fortissima by Payot et Rivages and into Spanish as Las Hermanas de Mozart by MRA Ediciones), and l’Ora di Musica. She has also edited the music education manual Armonie for lower secondary schools for DeAgostini.

In 2022, Beatrice published the essay Cyclicality, Staticity, and Timelessness: The Journey of the Walker through Schubertian Aesthetics within Verbum Caro, a miscellany dedicated to the 80th birthday of H.E. Cardinal Ravasi (SanPaolo Editions). For Warner Music Italia, she has released the albums My Journey and Heroines.

Among her recent and upcoming engagements, she will conduct Un Ballo in Maschera at the Teatro Colón in Buenos Aires, Die Entführung aus dem Serail at the Teatro Verdi in Trieste, Don Giovanni at the Teatro Massimo Bellini in Catania, Il Barbiere di Siviglia at the Opéra de Nice, and La Favorita at the Teatro Lírico de Cagliari, among others.
