BIOGRAPHY

Beatrice Venezi studied piano, composition, and conducting, graduating with honors from the Giuseppe Verdi Conservatory of Music in Milan.

She has collaborated with internationally renowned performers such as Plácido Domingo, Vittorio Grigolo, Marcelo Álvarez, Maria José Siri, Kristine Opolais, Aida Garifullina, Bruno Canino, Stefan Milenkovich, Valentina Lisitsa, Andrea Griminelli, Eleonora Abbagnato, Carla Fracci, and Andrea Bocelli, whom she conducted at Queen Elizabeth II’s Platinum Jubilee and at the prestigious Royal Albert Hall in London.

She has also collaborated with prestigious musical institutions such as Teatro La Fenice, Maggio Musicale Fiorentino, the National Theatre of Korea in Seoul, the New Japan Philharmonic, the Sofia Philharmonic, the Nagoya Philharmonic, the National Opera House of Georgia, Opera Holland Park in London, Teatro Coliseo in Buenos Aires, Teatro Olimpico in Vicenza, Teatro Lirico in Cagliari, Teatro Bellini in Catania, Haydn Orchestra, Orchestre Philharmonique de Nice, Opéra-Théâtre de Metz-Métropole, Symphony Orchestra of the National Television and Radio of Belarus, State Orchestra of Armenia, National Opera House in Azerbaijan, National Theatre Ivan Zajc in Rijeka, Sofia National Opera and Ballet, and Orchestra I Pomeriggi Musicali in Milan. She has conducted more than 250 symphonic concerts and 100 opera performances.

Currently, she serves as an advisor to the Italian Minister of Culture on music. She has held positions as Principal Guest Conductor of the Orquesta della Toscana, Principal Conductor of the Milano Classica Orchestra, Principal Guest Conductor of the Puccini Festival in Torre del Lago, and Artistic Director of the Taormina Arte Foundation.

She was recently appointed Resident Guest Conductor of the Permanent Orchestra of the Teatro Colón in Buenos Aires.

Additionally, she served as a member of the Women’s Advisory Group of the Pontifical Council for Culture from 2019 to 2022.

In her early career, she received several awards, particularly for her artistic abilities and her commitment to spreading classical musical culture among younger generations. Her accolades include the historic Scala d’Oro Award, the Pegaso della Toscana Award, the Kinéo Award, and the Gentile da Fabriano Award.

Corriere della Sera named her among the 50 women of the year in 2017, Forbes included her among the 100 young leaders of the future under 30 in 2018, and in 2024, Fortune recognized her among the “40 under 40.”

Alongside her professional work, she is highly active in educational outreach, collaborating with renowned institutions such as the Universität Wien, Bocconi University of Milan, Polytechnic University of Milan, IULM, Polimoda in Florence, Catholic University of the Sacred Heart in Rome, Federico II University of Naples, Catholic University of Milan, for which she celebrated the inaugural concert of the academic year during its centenary in 2021, and the University of Sassari, where she delivered the opening lectio magistralis for the 2018-2019 academic year.

She has published with the Utet publishing house “Allegro con Fuoco” and “Sorelle di Mozart,” translated into French by Payot et Rivages under the title “Fortissima” and into Spanish by MRA Editions under the title “Las hermanas de Mozart,” as well as “L’Ora di Musica” and “Puccini contro tutti.”

For DeAgostini, she edited the music education manual for lower secondary schools, titled “Armonie.”

In 2022, she also published the essay “Cyclicality, Staticity, and Timelessness: The Journey of the Walker through Schubertian Aesthetics” in “Verbum Caro,” a miscellany dedicated to the 80th birthday of H.E. Cardinal Ravasi, published by SanPaolo Editions.

For Warner Music Italy, she has released the albums “My Journey” and “Heroines.”
