BIOGRAPHY
Although since 2014 she had already toured France singing Contessa and Donna Anna, 2016 marks a turning point in Berna Perles’ career. In it she wins first prizes in the international singing competitions of Seville, Logroño and Granada. Since then, the Málaga soprano has developed a career with continuous activity in which her debut as Norma stands out: Teatro Campoamor (Oviedo, 2022), Teatro Verdi (Pisa, 2022) and Teatro Maestranza (Seville, 2023), her debut as Manon Lescaut: Baluarte (Pamplona 2021), Teatro Cervantes (Málaga 2024), or her debut as Micaela: Teatro Villamarta (Jerez, 2023), Baluarte (Pamplona, 2024). At the Teatro de la Zarzuela she highlights the performances of Entre Sevilla y Triana by Sorozábal alongside Guillermo García Calvo. Continued collaboration with directors such as Manuel Hernández Silva or Andrea Marcon, who trust her in roles that include Fiordigligi, Gutrune in Götterdämmerung, or Leonora in Fidelio, plays an important role in her career. She will soon also premiere as Mimì in La Bohème and Leonora in Il Trovatore and she will return to the Teatro Real and the Teatro de la Zarzuela.
He has recently made his debut at the Liceu and the Teatro Real, to which he has returned with projects such as Trittico by Puccini with Susanna Mälkki, or in the Spanish premiere of Hadrian by Rufus Wainwright, with which he has also debuted at the Peralada Festival . She has been directed by directors such as Dudamel, Armiliato, Axelrod, Diakun, Gustavo Gimeno, González, Hirokami, Pablo González, Victor Pablo Pérez, or Zapico. At the same time, she develops intense activity with orchestras such as the City of Granada, the Malaga Philharmonic, the Community of Madrid, Spanish Radio Television, Spanish Radio Television or the Navarra Symphony, among others.
Her recordings include a CD of duets with the baritone Carlos Álvarez, with whom she recently gave a recital at the Dubai EXPO, and the zarzuela El puñao de rosas with the Córdoba Orchestra.
