BIOGRAPHY

Degree in Musical Interpretation and Teaching, mention in Singing and Choral Conducting from the University of Talca (Chile). He studied with Luciana D’Intino, Renato Bruson and Eva Mei.

Ramiro has been conducted by Franz Welser-Möst, Yves Abel, Ádám Fischer, Paolo Carignani, Pietro Mianiti, Konstantin Chudovsky, Maxime Pascal, Leonid Grin, Francisco Rettig, and worked with well known directors such as Jürgen Flimm, Liliana Cavani, Woody Allen, Fabio Sparvoli, Grischa Asagaroff, Frederic Wake-Walker, Jean-Louis Pichon, among others.

On 2013 he has been honored with the National Scholarship of Municipal de Santiago – Ópera Nacional de Chile, and since then he has performed as a soloist in “Il Barbiere di Siviglia”, “La Traviata”, “Romeo et Juliette”, “L’Elisir d’amore”, “Lakmé” y “Rusalka”. He sung the role of Don Giovanni, Dancairo in “Carmen”,Falke in “Die Fledermaus” and Barón Douphol in “La Traviata”; as so as Conte D’Almaviva in “Le Nozze di Figaro” and Papageno in “Die Zauberflöte” in the Manhattan Opera Studio, New York.

Has performed in numerous concerts and recitals as soloist, such as Teatro alla Scala, Carnegie Hall, National Opera Center- NY, Opera Nacional de Chile, and, Teatro del Lago-Chile.

Since 2017 he is a member of Accademia Teatro alla Scala in Italy, debuting that same year in Teatro alla Scala on the world premier opera “Ti vedo, ti sento, mi perdo” by Salvatore Sciarrino performing the role of Giovane Cantore, conducted by Maxime Pascal and the direction of Jürgen Flimm, as also “Il barbiere de Siviglia” and “L’Elisir d’amore” on the role of Belcore, conducted by Pietro Mianiti and Grischa Asagaroff direction, “Ali Baba e i quaranta ladroni” by Cherubini singing Phaor conducted by Maestro Paolo Carignani and directed by Liliana Cavani, and the new production of Teatro alla Scala of “Ariadne auf Naxos” conducted by Franz Welser-Möst and directed by Frederic Wake-Walker. He has also performed “L’Elisir d’amore” at Grand Theatre de Geneve.

His upcoming performances comprehend “Rigoletto”, “Gianni Schicchi”, “Ariadne auf Naxos” and “Prima la musica e poi le parole” in Teatro alla Scala, “Apollo e Daphne” di Handel with Orquesta de Cámara de Chile and “Don Giovanni” with the title role in Teatro Regional del Maule, Chile.
