BIOGRAPHY

Born in Guadix (Granada) in 1987. Graduated in Pharmacy from the University of Granada and Master in Lyrical and Scenic Interpretation from the University of Jaén (Spain).
He studies with Mª del Coral Morales and Giulio Zappa and has also worked with teachers such as Renato Bruson, Mariella Devia, Teresa Berganza, Carlos Chausson, Alfonso Antoniozzi, Joan Pons and Ana Luisa Chova; with pianists like Michele D’Elia, Rubén Fernández Aguirre, Simone Sabina, Julio Alexis Muñoz, Andrés Juncos, Giorgio Martano. He has sung with conductors such as Daniel Oren, Francesco I. Ciampa, Daniele Callegari, Miquel Ortega, Gianluca Capuano, Óliver Díaz and Yi-Chen Lin; as well as registers like Hugo de Ana, Silvia Paoli, Francesco Micheli, Nicola Berlofa, Rosetta Cucchi and Curro Carreres.

He won the first prize at the Concurso Juventudes Musicales España in 2009,on the prestigious As.Li.Co competition in January 2016, earning the role of “Guglielmo” in the production of Così fan tutte, and the third prize at the Concurso Internacional de Canto “Ciudad de Logoño” in April 2017.

In the operatic repertoire he has interpreted the “Maestro” in Ainadamar (O. Golijov), “Morales” of Carmen (G. Bizet), “Masetto” of Don Giovanni (W. A. Mozart), “Belcore” of L’elisir d’amore (Donizetti) at the Teatro Sociale di Como, “Il Conte d’Almaviva” by Le nozze di Figaro (W. A. Mozart) at the Opera Studio 2015 in Tenerife and at the Teatro Comunale di Bologna in May 2016; “Guglielmo” by Così fan tutte (W. A. Mozart) at the Lombard circuit As.Li.Co. (As, Pavia, Brescia and Cremona), “Le Comte de Toulouse” by Jérusalem (G. Verdi) being this debut in the “Festival Verdi” of the Teatro Regio di Parma in October 2017 and also in the Tchaikovsky Concert Hall in concert version together with the director Daniel Oren in November 2018; “Valentin” of Faust (C. Gounod) and “Giorgio Germont” by La Traviata (G. Verdi) in Tenerife Opera; “Prosdocimo” by Il turco in Italia (G. Rossini) in Oviedo Opera, and “Taddeo” in L’italiana in Algeri (G. Rossini) at the Teatro Comunale in Bologna.

He has been involved in the Accademia Rossiniana Alberto Zedda 2018 and made his debut in Il viaggio a Reims (G. Rosssini) with the roles of “Don Alvaro” and “Don Prudenzio”.

In the symphonic repertoire he has performed Choral Fantasy (Beethoven) and in the sacred repertoire, Petite Messe Solennelle (Rossini), Requiem por un vivo (Serrano), Die Schöpfung (J. Haydn), Requiem (Fauré), Requiem and Coronation Mass (Mozart), Mesías (Handel) and Messa di Requiem (G. Donizetti).

In the zarzuela repertoire he has performed “Leonello” from La Canción del Olvido (J. Serrano) in concert version at the Teatro de la Zarzuela in Madrid, “Lorenzo Pérez” from Doña Francisquita (A. Vives) and “Vidal Hernando” from Luisa Fernanda (F. Moreno Torroba) in the Tenerife Opera season.

Among his next projects in 2019 and 2020 are “Le Comte de Toulouse” by Jérusalem (G. Verdi) in his debut at the ABAO, “Haly” by L’italiana in Algeri (G. Rossini), “Giorgio Germont” by La Traviata (G. Verdi) and “Juan de Eguía” by La tabernera del Puerto (P. Sorozábal).
