BIOGRAPHY
Born in 1991 in Caserta, the italian soprano Clarissa Costanzo graduated at San Pietro a Majella Conservatory in Naples with honors and honorable mention. Later she studied with the soprano Renata Scotto.
Winner of several prizes at international opera competitions like 54th Voci Verdiane competition in Busseto (PR), the “Iris Adami Corradetti” competition in Padua, the “Città di Ravello” competition, the Neapolitan Masters Competition, the BA Lirica Competition, IX Maria Malibran International Competition she made her debut at the age of 21 in the As.Li.Co OperaDomani project in the role of Aida by G. Verdi in the tournée held in many theaters of northern Italy.
She made her debut in Piacenza, Ravenna, Teatro Comunale “Luciano Pavarotti” of Modena as Suzel in “L’Amico Fritz” by P. Mascagni, Amelia in “Un Ballo in Maschera” and Amelia Grimaldi in “Simon Boccanegra” by G. Verdi under the baton of M° Donato Renzetti and Piergiorgio Morandi. She also performed in concerts with the baritone Leo Nucci and in 2017 she made her debut as Elcia in G.Rossini masterpiece “Moses in Egypt” at the Bregenzer Festspiele (Austria).
In 2019 she debuted as Cio-Cio-San in “Madama Butterfly” by G. Puccini directed by Renata Scotto and Matilde in “Guglielmo Tell” by G. Rossini in Como, Brescia, Pavia, Bergamo and Pisa directed by Arnaud Bernard, under the baton of M° Carlo Goldstein and Jacopo Brusa.
She studied for two years at Accademia del Teatro alla Scala in Milan and she performed at the Piermarini for the Bulgari Gala and for EXPO DUBAI 2020 at the Millennium
Amphitheater in Dubai and at the Etihad Arena in Abu Dhabi with the Orchestra of the Accademia del Teatro alla Scala under the baton of M° Donato Renzetti.
He participated in the cycle of concerts at the Casa della Musica di Parma alongside the italian bass Michele Pertusi as part of the project “Pianse ed amò per tutti” dedicated to the operatic production of Giuseppe Verdi. She recently debuted in the title role in Giacomo Puccini’s Tosca under the direction of Renata Scotto at Teatro Chiabrera in Savona and she debuted as Amalia in “Napoli Milionaria” by Eduardo De Filippo and Nino Rota at Teatro Fraschini di Pavia directed by Arturo Cirillo with the orchestra “I Pomeriggi Musicali” conducted by M° James Feddeck.
Her future engagements in 2023: Tosca at Teatro Politeama Greco in Lecce, Napoli Milionaria in Como, Bergamo and Cremona, the 14th Symphony (Op. 135) by Dmitrij Šostakovič at University of Milano City in collaboration with Accademia Teatro alla Scala, Aida at Teatro Sociale di Como, Giorgetta in “Il Tabarro” and Lauretta in “Gianni Schicchi” by G.Puccini at Opera de Oviedo (Spain).
