BIOGRAPHY

Born in Albania, Klodjan Kaçani graduated in classical singing at the University of Arts in Tirana.

Since 2012, he has collaborated regularly with the National Theatre of Albania, starting from roles such as Goro in Madama Butterfly, Gherardo in Gianni Schicchi conducted by Sebastiano Rolli, and Peppe/Arlecchino in Pagliacci conducted by Michelangelo Mazza. In 2015, he made his debut as Don Ottavio in Don Giovanni under the baton of Paolo Carbone.

In 2016, he appeared as Tebaldo in I Capuleti e i Montecchi conducted by Elda Laro, as Tamino in Die Zauberflöte, and participated in a performance of Beethoven’s Ninth Symphony conducted by Gerard Akoka.

In 2017, he won the As.Li.Co. Competition for the role of Tamino in The Magic Flute, which he performed starting in Como and on tour across northern Italy under the direction of Federico Maria Sardelli. That same year, he debuted as Alfredo in La Traviata at the National Theatre of Albania.

In 2018, he toured France with Opera Nomade in a new production of The Magic Flute, followed by a performance in Catania in a new staging of the same opera under Gianluigi Gelmetti. He also appeared in Adriana Lecouvreur at the Teatro Filarmonico in Verona.

In 2019, he joined the Opera (e) Studio in Tenerife, debuting as Nemorino in L’Elisir d’amore in Tenerife, on tour in Tbilisi, and at the opening of the 2020–2021 season at Teatro Comunale di Bologna under Jonathan Brandani.

In 2020, he performed as Eutropio in Belisario at the Donizetti Festival in Bergamo, conducted by Riccardo Frizza. In 2021, he reprised the role of Alfredo in La Traviata at the National Theatre of Albania.

In 2022, he made his house debut at the Croatian National Opera in Zagreb as Alfredo in La Traviata, under the direction of Srboljub Dinič staged by Hugo De Ana.

He made his debut under the baton of Maestro Riccardo Muti in Verdi’s Messa da Requiem, followed in 2023 by his debut as Pollione in Norma, again under M° Muti’s direction.

In 2024, Kaçani made his house and role debut as Pinkerton in Madama Butterfly at both the National Theatre of Albania and in Maribor. He also debuted as Rodolfo in La Bohème at the National Theatre of Albania.

In November 2024, he made his debut at Teatro Verdi in Trieste as Alfredo in La Traviata, followed in 2025 by his debut at Teatro Carlo Felice in Genoa in the same role. That same year, he debuted as Ismaele in Nabucco at the Sanxay Festival in France.

Upcoming engagements include La Traviata at the National Opera and Ballet Theatre of Albania and his highly anticipated debut at Teatro Colón in Buenos Aires in November 2025.
