
Born in Pamplona, she studied harp and voice at the Conservatorio Superior de Navarra, completed a Master’s degree in Lied at ESMUC in Barcelona, and was a member of the Ópera (e)Studio of Ópera de Tenerife. She has won more than a dozen prizes in international competitions, the most recent being the Young Artistic Talent Award from the Príncipe de Viana Institution.
She has debuted in roles such as Violetta in La traviata, Juliette in Roméo et Juliette, Liù in Turandot, Donna Anna in Don Giovanni, Norina in Don Pasquale, Adina in L’elisir d’amore, Lauretta in Gianni Schicchi, Nannetta in Falstaff, Oscar in Un ballo in maschera, Clorinda in La cenerentola, the First Lady and Papagena in Die Zauberflöte, Marola in La tabernera del puerto, Lina in Las golondrinas, Niña Estrella in Don Gil de Alcalá, and Rosa in El rey que rabió, among many others.
She has also performed in major venues such as Theater Basel, Teatro Comunale di Bologna, the State Opera Theater of Georgia, Komitas Chamber Hall in Armenia, Palau de Les Arts in Valencia, Teatro de la Maestranza in Seville, Teatro Campoamor in Oviedo, Teatro Monumental in Madrid, the Auditorio Nacional, Euskalduna in Bilbao, Palacio de Festivales de Cantabria, Ópera de Tenerife, and Teatro Pérez Galdós in Las Palmas, among others.
Esparza is part of the American record label Odradek Records, with which she has released the first world recordings of previously unpublished songs by Emilio Arrieta (Canciones para una reina) and Francisco Asenjo Barbieri (Otro Barbieri), in celebration of their respective bicentenaries.
In upcoming engagements, she will make her debuts at the Theater an der Wien in Vienna, the Gran Teatre del Liceu in Barcelona, and Teatro Villamarta in Jerez, and will return to stages such as Teatro de la Zarzuela and Ópera de Tenerife, among others.
