BIOGRAPHY

The Italian-German mezzo-soprano Anna-Doris Capitelli was a member of the renowned Accademia Teatro alla Scala in Milan and the ROF in Pesaro. She was awarded second place at the Leyla Gencer International Competition 2018 in Istanbul, first place at ASLICO, Italy and second place at the Bundeswettbewerb Gesang in Berlin.

She trained at the ‘Hochschule für Musik Theater und Medien’ in Hannover with Professor Sabine Ritterbusch, where he graduated in 2016.

At her debut at La Scala in Milan in 2017, she won over the audience with his interpretation of Hänsel in the opera “Hänsel und Gretel”. At La Scala she also performed Rosina (Barber), Tisbe (Cinderella), Driade (Ariadne auf Naxos) Ida (Fledermaus) Marcelina (The Marriage of Figaro) Myrtale (Thais). She will return in 2024 to star in Madina. In Pesaro she sang Il viaggio a Reims and Le Comte Ory. In the Lombardy circuit in Italy, Rosina del Barbero in Seville, Ariadne auf Naxos at the Teatro del Maggio Musicale in Florence.

At a very young age, Anna-Doris has already started giving recitals and concerts with orchestras, which have given her the wonderful opportunity to perform internationally in numerous places, such as Japan, Brussels, Paris, South Africa and Portugal.

An exciting note: her first CD recording of the opera “Elena” by Giovanni Simone Mayr (first recording) was released by Naxos in 2020.

Her recent and future commitments include debuts in the main theaters of Italy, Germany, France and Spain: Isabella, from L’Italiana in Algeri, at the Teatro Lírico in Cagliari, as well as her debut in Spain as Cherubino, from Le nozze di Figaro. In 2024 she will return to Spain at the Teatro de la Maestranza in Seville with the opera Ariadne auf Naxos.

In 2024 her debut at the prestigious Kissinger Sommer Festival, in Bad Kissingen, with the Petite Messe Solennelle by G. Rossini.

In 2025 her debut at the Théatre des Champs-Élysées, Elbphilharmonie in Hamburg and Philharmonie Luxembourg with Le nozze di Figaro, with Maestro Giovanni Antonini.
